LIVE: Police descend on block of flats after 'serious' assault - latest updates
Police have descended on a block of flats in Radcliffe this evening after a man was seriously assaulted.
Officers raced to the St Johns Court area at around 4pm on Thursday (October 24) where a man was found with 'serious injuries'. He has since been rushed to hospital.
Detectives from Greater Manchester Police remain on the scene this evening as they work to uncover the circumstances leading to what they called a 'serious assault'.

In a statement, the force said: "At around 4pm today (24 October 2024), we responded to reports of a serious assault in the St John's Court area of Radcliffe.
"Shortly after, a man aged 20 was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Officers are currently on the scene and enquiries are ongoing."

Forensics were seen scouring a residential street for evidence after a 20-year-old man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries on Thursday night (October 24).
A major police scene was put in place on Duke Street and St John's Court following reports of a 'serious assault'. The Manchester Evening News understands he was stabbed.
Emergency crews were called out to the incident at around 4pm. Multiple cordons were put in place, with crime scene investigator vans (CSI) and multiple police cars blocking the road.
