LIVE updates as police tape off street after serious crash at bus stop

Officers have taped off a Salford street following a serious crash at a bus stop. Police are in attendance on Tootal Drive, in Salford, this morning (November 7).

The collision involves a black Mercedes-Benz car, which appears wedged next to a bus stop shelter. Multiple Bee Network buses are also stopped at the scene.

Police officers are manning the scene. Further details about the nature of the collision are yet to be confirmed.

Greater Manchester Police, North West Ambulance Service, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service and Transport for Greater Manchester have all been approached for comment. A reporter is on their way to the scene.

Drivers are being advised to avoid the area, near to Eccles Old Road. Police have been in attendance for around an hour, it's understood.
