LIVE At least 13 in hospital following serious bus crash on edge of Manchester city centre
At least 13 people have been hurt in a smash involving two double decker buses on the edge of Manchester city centre. Emergency services swarmed the area following the crash at around 8.45am on Rochdale Road.
Police, fire and North West Ambulance Services were at the scene. An air ambulance also landed in a car park. The crash left the vehicles badly damage, with debris strewn across the road.

Witnesses said one bus had 'gone into' another, while another bus had 'gone through a metal fence'.

Witness Harry Yearsley told the MEN he and his partner were woken up at around 8.20 by 'the loudest bang we've ever heard'.
