LIVE: Police cordon on Greater Manchester field after woman dies - latest updates
Officers are in attendance on a Greater Manchester field after a woman was tragically pronounced dead. Police were called out to concerns for a person's welfare on Audenshaw Ponderosa, known locally as Paddy Walk, in Audenshaw, Tameside.
Greater Manchester Police says officers were called out to the scene at 7.40am today (December 3). Eyewitnesses reported seeing both police and North West Ambulance Service in attendance.
A cordon is currently in place and people are being asked to avoid the scene. A green tent has been put in place on the field alongside police tape, with officers currently manning the cordon.

There are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances. A GMP spokesman said: "At around 7.40am this morning, emergency services responded to a concern for welfare in the Audenshaw area.
"Despite the best efforts of paramedics, a woman was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and enquiries are ongoing."
