LIVE: Trains STOPPED in Manchester after 'emergency incident' - latest updates
All trains have been stopped on a line in north Manchester as emergency services respond to an incident. National Rail says all lines between Manchester Victoria and Rochdale are currently closed.
It follows an incident near to Mills Hill station, in Middleton. National Rail says the incident was first reported at 11.53am this morning (December 11).
Emergency services are reportedly working at the scene. A National Rail spokesperson said: "The emergency services are currently dealing with an incident between Manchester Victoria and Rochdale.

"To allow them to safely carry out their work, all lines running between these stations are closed. This means that trains are unable to operate, and will be cancelled."
Disruption is expected to last until around 1.30pm. Further details on the nature of the incident are yet to be confirmed. Emergency services have been approached for more information.
