LIVE: Huge M62 queues with HOUR delays due to 'overturned car' - latest updates

Huge queues are building on a stretch of the M62 this morning after a crash.

Two lanes are currently closed off on the westbound side due to an 'overturned car'. The lanes are shut between junction 23 and junction 22, near Huddersfield and towards Rochdale.

There are delays of up to an hour up to the closure. Traffic is queuing for around six miles.

A tweet posted by National Highways said: "#M62 westbound between J23 and J22 - near #Huddersfield, heading towards #Rochdale The 2 inside lanes (of 3 lanes) are closed due to an overturned car.

"Vehicle recovery is at scene. Delays of 60 minutes on the approach - 6.5 miles of congestion."

There are still delays of around 80 minutes on the westbound side of the M62.

Motorway cameras show queues of traffic stretching back from the closure.

National Highways posted this update about the incident on the M62 at around 9.30am.
