LIVE: Police and air ambulance on scene after man struck by vehicle on busy road - updates
Emergency crews are responding to a serious incident on a busy road in Bolton this afternoon (Monday, October 27).
Police and paramedics are on the scene on Darwen Road in the Bromley Cross, close to the Sainsbury's Local.
The air ambulance has also reportedly landed nearby.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said a man had been struck by a vehicle.

His injuries are thought to be life-threatening at this stage.
Part of Darwen Road has been cordoned off, with traffic being diverted away from the area.

The M.E.N has contacted both the North West Ambulance Service and Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS), who have both also responded to the incident this afternoon, for further information.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said a man had been struck by a vehicle.
His injuries are thought to be life-threatening at this stage.
The air ambulance is believed to have landed in the grounds of the church nearby.
