LIVE Murder investigation launched as police swarm Chorlton cul-de-sac - updates
A murder investigation is underway following an incident in Chorlton this morning (November 11).
Part of Astbury Avenue in Chorlton is currently taped off. The road is a small cul-de-sac close to Chorlton Water Park.
An officer has been pictured standing guard on the scene, with at least two police vehicles stationed on the road on this morning. One house, which is believed to split into flats, is behind the cordon.

A second cordon is also in place on nearby Woodlake Avenue. The cordons are believed to be linked to the same incident.

“A man has sadly lost his life and I want to ensure a full and thorough investigation is undertaken to fully understand the facts and get to the truth. We have specialist officers to work closely with and support his family at this difficult time.
“As we continue our work, I would ask anyone with any information that may assist the investigation to please get in touch with us. The key times I would ask for information is between 9pm and 11pm on Sunday 10th November.
