LIVE: M62 major crash CLOSES motorway with large delays - latest updates
Drivers are being warned of delays on the M62 this morning after a crash shut part of the motorway.
The westbound carriageway between junctions seven for Rainhill and six for the M57 has been closed. Emergency services are at the scene and diversions have been put in place.
The crash doesn't seem to be causing too much congestion just yet, with traffic cameras in the area appearing to show traffic moving freely.

Traffic England website says there are queues of about 15 minutes with congestion backing up towards junction 8 near Warrington but warn it could be around noon by the time conditions get back to normal.
National Highways North West posted on X: "The M62 is closed westbound between J7 (Rainhill) and J6 (M57) due to a collision. Emergency services are on scene dealing with the incident."
