LIVE: 'Multi-car crash' as huge 90-minute queues build on M60 - latest updates

Drivers are facing long delays on the M60 near Stockport this morning following a crash.

Two lanes of the M60 clockwise are closed from J27 A560 Great Portwood Street (Portwood Roundabout) to J1 A5145 Travis Brow (Stockport Pyramid). It is not yet clear whether anyone has been injured during the incident.

There is currently congestion to J23 (Ashton Under Lyne) as motorists join the morning rush hour queues.

All lanes have now been re-opened on the M60 clockwise. Significant delays remain.

There are currently delays of 90 minutes against expected traffic, according to National Highways, with maps showing congestion stretching past J23 (Ashton-under-Lyne).

There are reports of a 'multi-vehicle' collision on the M60 this morning.
