Bryan Mbeumo to Manchester United transfer truth as Alejandro Garnacho 'price set'

The summer transfer window is rapidly approaching and Manchester United are already being linked with several potential new signings.

Ruben Amorim's squad are currently focused on their Europa League semi-final against Athletic Club - where they hold a 3-0 advantage going into the second leg at Old Trafford on Thursday night.

If United can claim a victory over Bilbao over two legs it would see them progress to the Europa League final and move a step closer to qualifying for the Champions League.

Should that happen, then it would also give a major boost to United's financial situation - and the money that will be available for new signings in the upcoming summer transfer window.

United are continuing to be linked with a swoop for Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo. Reports emerged over the weekend claiming that United were looking to sign Mbeumo when the summer transfer window opens.

Fabrizio Romano has reported for Give Me Sport, though, that United are not currently in the process of trying to bring Mbeumo to Old Trafford - despite recent reports.

Instead, Romano suggests that United's main focus is to agree a deal to sign Matheus Cunha from Wolves, who is reported to have a £65million release clause in his contract.

MEN Sport says: It's not the first time that Mbeumo has been linked with joining United and it may not be the last. And it would not be a surprise if Cunha is deemed more of a priority target for United at this stage but, if interest is there, then a move later on may still be possible.

United have reportedly set their price tag for Alejandro Garnacho heading into the summer transfer window.
