LIVE: Major police cordon on Manchester street - updates
Officers are responding to an incident in east Manchester. A large cordon is in place on Barrington Street, in Clayton, this morning (December 2).
It's understood police have been on the scene since the early hours of the morning. Images from the scene show multiple police vehicles in attendance, with an area taped off.
Eyewitnesses have reported seeing a forensic tent at the scene. Clayton Street is also reportedly taped off.

Debris and medical equipment were seen strewn on the floor earlier this morning. Exact details on the nature of the incident are yet to be confirmed.

A resident says they heard police late on Sunday night.
Residents told @MENnewsdesk that they heard police cars late last night.
One resident said: “I only heard the police cars that’s all. That was 11ish at night.”

A resident told @MENnewsdesk the cordon has expanded, they said: “There was tape down the alley but the tape has gone up in the last half hour.
