LIVE: Major emergency response and air ambulance called to A34 serious incident - latest updates
There is a major emergency services response in attendance on the A34 this afternoon following a serious incident.
Multiple ambulances, police vehicles, and an air ambulance are understood to be in attendance on Kingsway in the Burnage area today.
A witness said part of the road is currently taped off following what is thought to be a collision. No further details have yet been confirmed.

Greater Manchester Police and the North West Ambulance Service have been approached for a statement on the ongoing incident.

A large road closure is in place this afternoon with police taping off the major route.
Kingsway (A34) is closed between Lane End Road and Green End Road. An air ambulance has also landed on a residential green nearby.
Fire crews, police and paramedics remain in attendance with investigations being carried out.
The crash today involved two vehicles, it's understood.
It's thought one car hit a parked vehicle in the incident, with one person left seriously injured in hospital.
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are in attendance this afternoon.
The main road has been closed this afternoon following the serious incident.
The fire service have put up dignity screens on one side of the carriageway while they carry out work with paramedics at the scene.
