Middleton fire LIVE: Emergency services on scene as blaze breaks out at flat - updates
A fire has broken out at a flat in Middleton this morning.
The blaze has broken out on the top floor of the building on Baguley Crescent. Emergency services, including fire crews, police and paramedics, are currently on the scene.
Pictures show a number of fire engines stationed on the street. Smoke can be seen billowing from the window of the flat.

Police have put a cordon in place, with an ambulance also pictured at the scene. A spokesperson for the fire service said no-one was injured in the blaze, with an investigation underway.
The Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) spokesperson said: "At 9.45am on Tuesday, October 7, four fire engines from Heywood, Chadderton, Whitefield and Manchester Central fire stations plus the turntable ladder from Manchester Central fire station were called to a fire involving a derelict second floor flat on Baguley Crescent, Middleton.
"Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose reels to extinguish the fire and make the area safe. Crews remain in attendance.”
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “We responded to reports of a fire at around 10am this morning on Baguley Crescent in Prestwich.
“It’s currently unclear how the fire started and investigations are underway.
"No casualties have been reported.”
The force spokesperson confirmed a road closure is in place on part of Baguley Crescent.
