LIVE: Huge police scene and two forensic tents in place amid serious incident on Manchester street

A cordon is in place on a street in Gorton this morning amid a serious incident.

A huge emergency services response descended on Barnard Road late on Sunday night (August 18). The Manchester Evening News understands police and paramedics responded to an incident at a house.

Videos showed a large number of police cars and ambulances lining the street as neighbours watched on from their homes. This morning, a major police scene remains in place on the road. Two forensic tents are in place, with one in the road and another in the front garden.

Officers remain in attendance. Greater Manchester Police are set to release details on the incident shortly.

Emergency crews reportedly arrived on the street just before midnight on Sunday.
