LIVE: Huge emergency service presence at Salford Civic Centre following reports of man on scaffolding
There is a huge emergency services presence at Salford Civic Centre this afternoon (Thursday) amid reports of a man on scaffolding.
Police, paramedics and firefighters have been pictured at the scene on Chorley Road, Swinton.
Pictures appear to show a man on scaffolding. The council-owned building is being used as a polling station for the local elections today

A witness told the Manchester Evening News a man was being talked to by emergency services.
Greater Manchester Police, the North West Ambulance Service and the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service have been approached for details on the ongoing incident.

Paramedics were also present at the incident today.
A number of ambulances as well as Incident Response Units were pictured at the scene.
It is understood the man is not injured.
In an update, Greater Manchester Police said the man has come down off the scaffolding.
It is understood he has not sustained any injuries.
A spokesperson said: "At around 10:45am today (Thursday 4 March) Greater Manchester Police were called to concerns for welfare of a man on Chorley Road, Salford.
"Colleagues from GMFRS and NWAS also attended.
"The scene has now closed and the man is being supported by specialist services."
The Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service has confirmed they were called to the incident however have now left the scene.
The Civic Centre, on Chorley Road in Swinton, is being used as a polling station by voters today.
A fire engine has been pictured outside the main doors with a number of fire service personnel and police on the ground.
