LIVE: Helicopter lands in Manchester park amid reports of stabbing - latest updates

Emergency services are responding to reports of a stabbing in north Manchester this morning.

Police and paramedics have been spotted on Ash Tree Road in Crumpsall, close to the Methodist Church. Eyewitness have reported spotting a helicopter land in nearby Crumpsall Park.

Greater Manchester Police confirmed officers are responding to reports of a stabbing. No further details have been reported at this stage.

One eyewitness said a police helicopter landed in the Crumpsall Park with Ash Tree Road filled with emergency services.

Another said they heard arguments and confrontation between 8am and 9am.

Police confirmed the incident was 'isolated'.

There is no risk to the wider public, GMP added.

Local residents said they heard 'shouting' before emergency crews were called out.

In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said:

"Officers were called to reports of a disturbance on Ash Tree Road in Crumpsall this morning.

"On arrival two people have been treated for minor injuries that did not require hospital treatment.

"Two men and one woman have been arrested on suspicion of affray. They remain in police custody.
