Emergency services have taped off a residential street in Bolton this evening amid reports of a serious collision.
Police, fire crews, paramedics and an air ambulance were scrambled to the scene of the incident on Melbourne Grove in Horwich tonight. A white evidence screen has also been erected at the scene. Emergency services have flooded the area and remain at the scene tonight.
Officers from Greater Manchester Police's Serious Collision Unit (SCIU) are investigating. The road is expected to remain closed for a number of hours tonight amid enquiries into the incident.

There are unconfirmed reports that the collision involved a pedestrian on Melbourne Grove this evening.

Emergency services vehicles are parked up along adjoining Victoria Road.
Reports of the serious collision first came in at around 2.15pm. An air ambulance, along with rapid response vehicle and operational commander were in attendance.
An NWAS spokesperson said: "We received a call reporting an RTC following a call at 14.15. We have attended with an ambulance, air ambulance, advanced paramedic, response vehicle and operational commander."
A statement from GMP says: "We are responding to reports of a road traffic collision on Melbourne Grove, Horwich.
"Officers are in attendance and closures remain in place."
