LIVE: Metrolink line blocked amid reports of crash near retail park - latest updates

A Metrolink line in Tameside is blocked this morning amid reports of a crash near a retail park.

The crash is reportedly near the Snipe Retail Park and The Snipe pub in the Audenshaw area. It has not yet been confirmed how many vehicles are involved.

Emergency services, including police officers, firefighters and paramedics, have been spotted on the scene. According to Metrolink, the line between Ashton-under-Lyne and Velopark is currently blocked.

A post on the Bee Network website said: "Due to a road traffic accident there is no service between Ashton Under-Lyne and Velopark. Tickets, passes and contactless can be used on 7, 216, 219, 230 and 231 bus services."
