LIVE: Forensics trawl streets following reports of shooting - latest updates
Forensics were seen trawling a car park and streets in Salford following reports of a shooting.
CSI teams in white suits were pictured on the ground and searching under cars following the incident, which was reported on Monday (March 17).
Officers responded to reports of 'gunshots' being heard. Investigations are now underway following the incident, with a cordon in place.

A police presence remains in place in the Broughton Lane and Camp Street area. Further details about the incident have not yet been confirmed.

A cordon is in place in a communal car park behind a number of homes.
A bullet casing was recovered from the scene.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "We received reports of gun shots being heard in the Broughton Lane/Camp Street area of Salford at around 5pm yesterday (17/3/25).
"On attending, officers found a bullet casing and there will be further searches in the area today. No arrests have been made as enquiries continue."
A witness who lives beside the scene has told of the moment he heard 'voices shouting' at around 4.30pm yesterday. Moments later he heard a shot which 'sounded like a firework.
"I heard teenage voices shouting and then there was a shot," he said. "At first I thought it was a firework but people have now said it’s a shotgun.
"They started investigating around 10am today but it happened around 4.30pm yesterday. The area is normally calm and peaceful."
