LIVE: CSI and armed police at scene in Oldham after reports of stabbing
Two people have been seriously injured in a 'disturbance' in Oldham tonight. A large cordon has been put in place after violence broke out on Busk Road in Chadderton.
Police were seen flooding the residential street, behind the B&M store, shortly before 9pm this evening. Armed officers were spotted at the scene before specialist crime scene investigation (CSI) officers arrived and began carrying out enquiries inside the cordon.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said two people had suffered injuries which are believed to be serious.

Locals earlier said a person had been stabbed. The nature of any weapons used has not yet been confirmed but the Manchester Evening News understands one is believed to have believed to have been a bladed article.
A cordon remains in place with patrols stepped up. However, GMP said they believed it to have been 'contained.'
A spokesperson for the force said: "We are currently still responding to a disturbance on Busk Road in Oldham from earlier this evening. The extent of the injuries suffered by those involved is unclear at this time, but we have increased patrols and specialised officers in the area to keep you safe.
"Enquiries are ongoing but we believe this is a contained incident."
