LIVE as air ambulance lands in Wythenshawe following crash

A cordon is in place on a south Manchester street this afternoon following reports of a collision between a car and a bike.

Emergency services are on the scene on Brownley Street in Wythenshawe following the crash on Saturday (March 29). It is not yet clear whether anyone was badly hurt in the accident.

Witnesses report the street being taped off, with the air ambulance seen landing and taking off from nearby fields.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) and Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) have been contacted for more information.
