Leicester City tipped for Aston Villa transfer tussle as Gary Lineker agrees with Brendan Rodgers

Here are your Leicester City headlines...

Leicester City are one of three Premier League teams to show an interest in Aston Villa full-back Matt Targett, according to reports.

The left-back is currently on loan with Newcastle United until the end of the season, after joining the club in the January window. The Magpies are keen to make the move permanent in the summer for a reported fee of around £15million.

Targett has played a total of 12 times for Eddie Howe’s side since swapping Villa Park for St James’ Park in the winter window. He played the full 90 minutes of Newcastle’s 2-1 win over City earlier this month.

Gary Lineker claims Leicester City were a 'million miles' better than AS Roma in the Europa Conference League semi-final first leg at the King Power Stadium.

The Foxes went one goal down inside the first 15 minutes of the game as Lorenzo Pellegrini scored the opener.

Leicester didn't get back into the game until the 67th minute, despite their dominance throughout. Rodgers' men retained 67% of the ball, while Jose Mourinho was happy to take the tie back to Italy next week with the contest finely poised.

Former Leicester City striker Gary Lineker has shown his love for the club with the name of his new dog.

The Match of the Day presenter announced the new member on his family on social media on Wednesday night after rescuing the dog from the streets of Los Angeles. He met the dog on a recent holiday and says it was ‘love at first sight.’

“Meet Filbert, the new and already much loved member
