Leicester City man warned about 'big' factor in transfer decision

Leicester City midfielder Hamza Choudhury has been sent a transfer warning, after being linked with moves to West Brom and Middlesbrough this summer.

Choudhury is said to be one of the City players who would be allowed to leave Brendan Rodgers' squad this summer as part of the refresh at the King Power Stadium. The Foxes are keen to improve their central midfield options, with the Northern Irishman saying that he wants to sign 'at least two' players in that position.

Championship side West Brom have been heavily linked with an interest in recent weeks, but Middlesbrough had reportedly joined the race to sign the academy graduate.

Now, speaking to Football League World, former Baggies midfielder Carlton Palmer has sent a message to the 24-year-old regarding his final decision on his next move.

"I think, also, the fact that, you know, he's gonna have to travel to Middlesbrough, he's gonna have to stay up in Middlesbrough, and the fact that he's playing at Leicester, he'll be able to commute to West Brom daily for training and for matches and so forth," he said.

"That's a big difference."

Choudhury started just four league games last season and has struggled to break into Rodgers' team. Previous moves to Newcastle United have not come to fruition, but Steve Bruce now reportedly wants to take the defensive midfielder to the Hawthorns.

A loan move with an obligation to buy next summer is said to be the terms that West Brom are keen on, with it being unknown if a similar deal is being proposed by Boro.
