Leicester City 'line up' £30m midfielder who has already shown Brendan Rodgers what he can do

Leicester City have been linked with a move for PSV midfielder Ibrahim Sangaré.

The 24-year-old has also reportedly been the subject of interest from Premier League rivals Aston Villa, but is already familiar to Leicester fans. He played against City in both legs of the Europa Conference League quarter-final tie earlier this month.

Now, according to The Sun, the midfielder could be the subject of a £30m bid from Leicester during the summer transfer window as manager Brendan Rodgers eyes a healthy refresh of his squad.

They say "discussions have taken place to register interest" as Rodgers wants five or six new players to be signed this summer. He could be a potential replacement for Youri Tielemans, who has been linked with a host of clubs including Man United, Arsenal and Liverpool.

Local lad Hamza Choudhury could also be heading for the exit door this summer, while it looks like Dennis Praet does not have a future at the football club.

Sangaré could prove to be a handy replacement, with the midfielder a key part of the side that won the Dutch Cup this season - the final coming just three days after the defeat to Leicester in Eindhoven.
