Leicester City to press ahead with transfer revamp as Brendan Rodgers makes Europe vow

Signing players with “new hunger” to add to a Leicester City squad motivated by their Europa Conference League exit will see the club fighting for the European positions again next season, manager Brendan Rodgers has said.

Rodgers has previously said he wants to shake up his squad and give it a fresh look, but he also wants those who remain to use the defeat to Roma as a spark to get back into Europe.

There could be five or six new faces at the club this summer, with a new centre-back, box-to-box midfielder, and right winger the priorities. He added: “I think it is one where certainly a lot of the players will have felt the joy and experience of playing nights in Europe. You see the likes of James Maddison how good he has been over the two legs. He is a player with personality and quality. He deserves that opportunity. Hopefully the players will go away
