Leicester City eyeing sensational Harry Maguire return and more Manchester United transfer rumours

Leicester City are eyeing a sensational move to take Harry Maguire back on loan this summer, according to reports.

Maguire's influence at United has waned this season, with the club captain a rare big game starter under Erik ten Hag, with just five starts in the Premier League. The 30-year-old has been behind Lisandro Martinez and even Luke Shaw in recent months, with Ten Hag preferring a left-footed option in that area.

And with the Dutchman preparing to trim the squad and rebuild this summer, Maguire is one of several who could be allowed to leave, with the Sun reporting a return to the King Power could be on the cards. The defender Leicester on good terms in 2019 and the Foxes would reportedly like to take him back on loan.

The report adds that Brendan Rodgers would see the capture as a huge coup, with Maguire's experience able to organise a leaky defence that has them fearing the drop.

Elsewhere Mundo Deportivo reports that United are 'monitoring' the situation surrounding Joao Felix in the hope of securing a 'favourable' summer deal.

Felix is currently on loan at Chelsea, where he has impressed with a couple of goals and some fine individual performances. However the Blues do not have an option to make that move permanent in the summer and must be careful not to breach Financial Fair Play regulations.

That could open the door for other offers, with the report suggesting United have interest in the Portuguese forward and know their likely place in next season's Champions League could act as a pull. However any deal will not come cheap, with parent club Atletico Madrid said to be wanting close to €140million.
