Suspended Bruno Fernandes sends Sevilla demand to Manchester United teammate Anthony Martial

Midfielder Bruno Fernandes is seemingly eager to see Anthony Martial get himself on the scoresheet when Manchester United face Sevilla in the second-leg of their Europa League quarter-final this evening.

Following last Thursday's 2-2 draw in the first-leg at Old Trafford, United know they will have to produce a solid away performance against the Europa League specialists to reach the last-four. The Reds squandered a two-goal lead in the first-leg, conceding two own-goals in the closing stages.

It means that United will have to work twice as hard to book a semi-final date against either Juventus or Sporting Lisbon next month. The Reds' hopes of progressing to the next round have also not been helped by the suspension of Fernandes, who was harshly booked in the first-leg.

The Portuguese star has been superb in recent weeks and will be sorely missed in the engine room. Fortunately, the Reds have recovered Luke Shaw, Marcel Sabitzer and Marcus Rashford from injury. Shaw and Rashford have been named on the bench while Sabitzer has come in to replace Fernandes.

Although Sabitzer will be keen to add to his two-goal haul from last week, nobody in the United squad will be itching to score a goal more than Martial. The Frenchman spent the second half of last season on loan at Sevilla and scored just one goal in 12 games.

It was an underwhelming spell for the former AS Monaco ace and he will be determined to show Sevilla what they missed out on. And it appears as though Fernandes, when commenting on one of Martial's Instagram posts yesterday, is desperate to see his teammate deliver the goods and help United reach the semi-finals.
