Leicester City and Roma receive UEFA punishment after Europa Conference League semi-final

Leicester City are said to have been fined €24,000 over the behaviour of the travelling Foxes supporters at the Stadio Olimpico in the Europa Conference League semi-final defeat to Roma.

City missed out on the chance of reaching their first ever European final after losing 2-1 to Roma on aggregate, with former Chelsea man Tammy Abraham heading the winner past Kasper Schmeichel in the 11th minute in Italy.

The Foxes have reportedly received a €20,000 fine due to supporters throwing objects and a further €4,000 for lighting fireworks.

The main charges were directed to Roma. UEFA fined the eventual Conference League winners a total of €46,000 for misconduct in their home victory. The fine totals up from €20,000 for throwing objects, €18,000 for lighting fireworks and a further €8,000 for blocking stairways.

Roma were also handed a warning due to time wasting from their ball boys.
