Leeds: 20 y/o on 'upward curve' under Jesse Marsch at Elland Road

Leeds youngster Crysencio Summerville is on an “upward trajectory”, according to Sky Sports reporter Tim Thornton.

The 20-year-old is enjoying his first full season in the first-team and is already well on his way to topping his tally of appearances from last term.

The winger arrived at Leeds from Feyenoord two years ago but spent his first campaign back on loan in Holland with ADO Den Haag.

Summerville would return and make his senior debut last season, part of eight appearances under the guidance of Marcelo Bielsa and Jesse Marsch.

But it's only in the early months of this season where Summerville has started to become a regular in Marsch's ranks.

He's already played five times and has been involved in every matchday squad in league and cup.

Such is his progress, the Leeds boss recently claimed that Summerville is currently playing the best football of his reign.

"We feel like Crysencio Summerville is in his best form since I've been here," said Marsch. "So, he certainly becomes a factor from the start or off the bench."

He told GIVEMESPORT: "He's got some minutes, if he wants to be a regular starter he'll probably have to improve again, but the signs are quite positive for him.

"He's looked like he's quite comfortable at Premier League level when he's played. He's still a young player and ultimately Leeds brought him in for his potential, so it's now about bringing that potential, but there are positive signs with him, he looks like he's on an upward trajectory and hopefully as the season goes on he'll play a bigger part."

With Luis Sinisterra and Jack Harrison regulars on the flanks, it's difficult to pinpoint exactly when the youngster might be handed his first start in the Premier League.
