Kyle Walker's Bayern Munich jokes amid transfer talks and more Man City moments you may have missed

Manchester City played their second of two friendlies in Tokyo on Wednesday, beating Bayern Munich thanks to Aymeric Laporte's late winner.

James McAtee had given City the lead, following up from Julian Alvarez's saved effort after good work from Rico Lewis. When Mathys Tel equalised with ten minutes to go, Laporte was on hand soon after to convert at the other end and hand City their second victory in a week.

While there were plenty of talking points on the pitch, the main significance of the game could come off it as City were captained by Bayern transfer target Kyle Walker, with Pep Guardiola confirming talks between the sides in the build-up to the friendly.

As the two sides lined up in the tunnel, Kyle Walker was selected again to captain City, despite talks between the Blues and Bayern over a potential transfer. Pep Guardiola called Walker 'irreplaceable' before the game and vowed to fight to keep him, while admitting that he didn't know if his right-back would stay.

It was perhaps unhelpful, then, that City faced Bayern in Tokyo, and it seemed that the players were aware of the high-profile links regarding Walker. As the sides gathered in the tunnel, Bayern captain Joshua Kimmich appeared to jokingly stare out Walker, before the pair shared a hug and a joke.
