Kyle Walker addresses Man City future and sets new Premier League target

Kyle Walker wants to be at Manchester City next season to aim for a fifth successive Premier League title as the club look to end another historic season with another big win.

Pep Guardiola's side beat Arsenal to the league by two points with a final-day victory over West Ham last weekend, and on Saturday they face United in the FA Cup Final for the second year running looking to be the first team in English football to win a double Double. Having also claimed the Super Cup and Club World Cup this season, Walker - club captain for the first time - can lift his fourth trophy of the season if City are able to live with their tag as favourites.

It has been an impressive turnaround for the defender, who lost his place in the team in the second half of last season and was left out of the starting XI for the Champions League final but recovered from the disappointment to deliver a rousing speech to teammates and then come off the bench to see the game out. Having nearly moved to Bayern Munich last summer in a switch driven by his personal life, Walker instead re-committed to the Blues with a three-year deal and has played more than in any season since 2018/19.

That has not stopped interest from other clubs in the 33-year-old ahead of this summer, including the Saudi Pro League where head-turning sums of money could be on offer.
