Kilmarnock starlet offered new contract as Newcastle and Leeds United among 4 Premier League suitors

Kilmarnock have offered a new deal to teenage striker Zander Craik - in a bid to try and fend off growing English Premier League interest.

The 18-year-old is out of contract in the summer but Killie are pushing to keep him at Rugby Park. Derek McInnes sees Craik as having a big future and has already had the youngster up training with his first-team squad.

Crystal Palace tried to do a deal in January but they couldn’t get a deal over the line before the deadline. The Eagles are one of a number of top English top-flight clubs who are all watching Craik’s situation closely while the likes of Nottingham Forest, Newcastle United and Leeds have all had Craik watched in recent weeks. Craik has only been at Killie for the last couple of seasons but if he does decide to move on then the Ayrshire club would still be entitled to compensation.
