Khabib's face after training for UFC 229 and after the actual Conor McGregor fight is crazy

Khabib Nurmagomedov kept his undefeated streak alive in 2018 when he entered the cage against Conor McGregor at UFC 229.

It was a dominant display from The Eagle, who forced his opponent to submit just four rounds into the contest.

The stats from the fight don’t read well for Notorious, who lost in all the key categories.

Khabib had 104 total strikes to his opponent’s 96, landing 70 sig. strikes in comparison to 51 coming from McGregor. It was 3-0 in takedowns in favour of Khabib to cap an emphatic win.

Pictures of Khabib from before the fight and afterwards have been doing the rounds on social media, with the fighter looking to have his skin/injuries clear up and look almost unscathed after the fight with the Irishman.

The lack of markings on his face shows us just how comfortable he found it in the Octagon against McGregor and was never really worried by him.

His trainer Javier Mendez appears to have had more of an impact on Khabib than that of McGregor from the actual fight, with the feud between the two parties rumbling on.

Khabib retired with his undefeated record still intact, but the two sides have continued on at each other’s throats ever since.

After Khabib’s father died, McGregor tweeted mocking the death. Although he later deleted the post, outrage was still caused.

The trainer responded by slamming McGregor, saying he was a “flat out idiot and out of control” which is no shock given the nature of that tweet.

Since then, Mendez has continued to slam the Irish star, going on a rant of reasons why he would lose to YouTuber Jake Paul should they face off in a boxing match.

The Eagle will certainly go down as a huge name in UFC, winning all of his fights, even dominating against the big names such as McGregor.
