Tottenham Hotspur hotshot Harry Kane will be ‘absolutely delighted’ with the impact Dejan Kulusevski has made since heading to north London, according to Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge.
Kulusevski joined Spurs an initial loan deal from Serie A giants Juventus on transfer deadline day in January, becoming the first arrival of head coach Antonio Conte’s tenure.
While managing director Fabio Paratici brokered a deal which saw Kulusevski join Tottenham on an 18-month loan for £8.3million, the Premier League side have an obligation to turn the move into a permanent switch for a total of £37.5million if certain sporting criteria are met.
He has adapted to the Premier League seamlessly, bagging two goals and an assist in his first five appearances in the competition.
Both of those goals came in the two domestic wins Kulusevski has enjoyed since heading to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, while WhoScored rated the 21-year-old as the second best player on the pitch as Spurs overcame Manchester City thanks to his stoppage time cross being headed home by Kane last month.
It appears to have been a genius move and Conte has already been impressed with the 20-cap Sweden international in the short period of time he has been at the club.
The Italian reacted to Kulusevski’s goalscoring display at Leeds United on Saturday by claiming the winger has the potential to go on and ‘become a really important player’ for Spurs.
