Manchester City are poised to resume their Premier League title defence after the international break.

Back-to-back losses against Wolves and Arsenal will give Pep Guardiola and his star-studded squad extra motivation when returning to domestic matters on Saturday afternoon. Next up for City is a meeting with Brighton at the Etihad Stadium.

Kalvin Phillips blamed his underwhelming performance for England in their win over Italy on a lack of minutes for City so far this season and admits he might soon have to "make a decision" on his future.

The Three Lions came from behind to beat Luciano Spalletti's side 3-1 at Wembley and secure qualification for next summer's European Championships in Germany. The importance of midfielder Rodri was highlighted when City lost all three games when he served a three-match suspension for a red card picked up last month.
