‘Just edge it’ - Gary Neville casts Man City title verdict after Arsenal draw with Liverpool FC
Gary Neville still believes Manchester City will successfully defend their Premier League title despite a “proud” showing from Arsenal in Sunday’s 2-2 draw with Liverpool.
The result means if City win their game in hand and beat the league leaders then the two teams will be level on points, separated only by goal difference. The pair are scheduled to meet at the Etihad on April 26.
The Gunners were 2-0 up within the first 28 minutes at Anfield but many felt the side did well to earn a point given the onslaught of pressure towards the end of the game. Aaron Ramsdale pulled off a number of terrific saves in the dying embers to keep the title race in Arsenal’s hands for the time being.

Former Manchester United defender Neville was impressed by Mikel Arteta’s side although he has not deviated from his original stance that Pep Guardiola will be the one to clasp hands on the Premier League trophy next month.
Speaking on his Sky Sports podcast, he said: "This game was absolutely wonderful and we’ve got six more weeks left of this [title race]. I have thought all the way through that Man City would just edge it.
"I haven’t changed my opinion after today or even altered it slightly because I still think there will be points dropped from each side, but I think Arsenal will drop more points.
"Mikel Arteta will be proud of his players tonight. I would be proud of them. But he will also know they’ve got a hell of a period coming up.
"They go to Man City, Newcastle, West Ham, they’re all difficult games. City have got some difficult ones too and there will be a lot more moments where Arsenal feel like the whole world is watching them."
