Jurassic World Manchester show delayed by two weeks with dinosaurs "stuck in transit"

The first two weeks of the eagerly-anticipated Jurassic World dinosaur exhibition have been pulled - after dinosaurs were "delayed in transit" on their way to Manchester.

Jurassic World: The Exhibition had been due to open at the Trafford Centre on July 19, to coincide with the start of school summer holidays. But bosses have been forced to PULL the first two week of shows, blaming "international dinosaur transit delays" to the production.

The exhibition will feature life-sized dinosaurs and was a huge hit when it first debuted in the UK in London in 2022. The exhibition is currently being built in the Peel 7 car park at the Trafford Centre, opposite John Lewis, and will run until November once open.

Billed as 'a family-friendly exhibit of massive proportions' the experience is said to be the closest thing you can get to meeting living dinosaurs. When the show was first announced it was due to initially open from July 19 in Manchester.

The exhibition will feature life-sized Brachiosaurus, Velociraptors, including fan-favourite Blue, and the most fearsome dinosaur of all, the mighty Tyrannosaurus rex. It's the first time the show has been in the north.

But now it won't officially start at the Trafford Centre until August 2 - two weeks later than planned. Replying on Facebook to some who had bought tickets and had them rescheduled, organisers apologised for the schedule changes.

The Jurassic World account said on Facebook: "We’re really sorry for the inconvenience caused by the recent schedule changes. Due to international dinosaur transit delays, full refunds are being issued for tickets from 26th July to 2nd August.
