Manchester United give Leny Yoro and Rasmus Hojlund injury updates in huge double blow
New Manchester United signing Leny Yoro will be sidelined for three months and striker Rasmus Hojlund is set to be out for six weeks.
Yoro fractured a metatarsal in the 2-1 friendly defeat to Arsenal in Los Angeles and is not scheduled to return until October. Hojlund sustained a hamstring injury in the 13th minute of the game.
Frenchman Yoro appeared to get in a minor tangle with Gabriel Jesus moments before he had to withdraw in the 34th minute at the SoFi Stadium.
Hojlund, 21, will miss the Community Shield against Manchester City, the opening Premier League fixture at home to Fulham, the away game against Brighton and the visit of Liverpool. The Denmark international could be available after the September internationals.

Yoro, 18, is keen to stay with the squad for the remainder of their pre-season tour of the United States and will be assessed again when he returns to the UK to provide a clearer view.

Lisandro Martinez is due to return to training next week after international duty but the Yoro setback could prompt United to submit a third bid for Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite. United are also interested in Bayern Munich defender Matthijs de Ligt amid their openness to signing three centre halves this summer.

Yoro only made his maiden appearance for United against Rangers last week following his arrival from
