Josie Gibson scolds Craig Doyle as fans call out 'rude' comment to This Morning guest

Josie Gibson seemingly scolded her co-host when she was stunned by his comments on his 'last' episode of This Morning. At the start of the show, Craig Doyle revealed he was all giddy with excitement as it was his last day at the helm before he heads off on his summer holiday.

The Irish broadcaster has been fronting the ITV daytime show with Josie for the last couple of weeks after taking over from Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary who kicked off the eight weeks of summer shows in Holly Willoughby's annual absence.

"Hello everyone, welcome to your Thursday's This Morning. I'm a bit giddy, holidays are tomorrow," Craig said as he opened the show. He then appeared to gesture a plane flying off as he added when looking to his co-star: "Gone."

"You're off aren't you, off on your holiday," Josie responded, before adding: "And I'm here, with the one and only Alison Hammond." Craig commented: "You've got Hammond in, the two of you in here. Unmissable," before Josie joked: "I dont know how they are going to manage us."

Turning to Josie, Craig then had some sweet words for his co-star as he told her: "Hey it's been fun, I'm looking forward to holidays but it's been great fun, I've thoroughly enjoyed it." He added: "Busy day today though isn't it?" before cracking on with the show as normal.

And as they hurtled through the jam-packed show, they rounded off the penultimate episode of This Morning this week by chatting to Dave Fishwick, who recently came to further prominence due to Netflix film Bank of Dave.
