The best-dressed people we spotted out and about in Manchester this week

A much desired heatwave has hit Manchester after a pretty wet and miserable month. People are making the most of their summer wardrobe while the sun is out - long may it last - before it gets tucked away for another year.

With the end of one season comes a new one and right now it’s the battle of those who are clinging on to summer against others who are ready to embrace Autumn.

We went around the city centre asking people what they’re most looking forward to about autumn as a part of our Steal Their Style series, where one man says he can’t wait to see the back of summer.

Jada Giwa

One woman who doesn’t let the season define her style is 25-year old Jada Giwa from London. Rather than dressing for the weather, Jada prefers to wear bright colours and shiny pieces, and I can say it definitely reflects Jada’s warm and bubbly personality.

“I’m wearing some Nike P6000, I really like them because they’re gold and shiny. I like wearing bright and colourful clothes. I’m also wearing a stripy, vintage cami top and a vintage brown leather jacket.

“I like to go charity shopping and going into vintage shops - I like things second hand because I think it’s important that we reuse and upcycle clothes and do all that to be a bit more environmentally friendly,” she said.

“I’m not really someone who changes their outfit depending on the season, I don’t like to do the whole trends and follow things people say are “specifically for winter”, I just do what I like and feel good in.”
