Jesse Lingard sends message to Manchester United's Hannibal Mejbri after performance vs Burnley
Former Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard has praised Hannibal Mejbri after yet another good performance against Burnley at the weekend.
Hannibal scored his first senior goal for United in the recent 3-1 defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion. And the Tunisian was chosen to start in the Premier League for the first time this season away at Turf Moor.
He was lauded for his performance against the Clarets as the Reds beat Vincent Kompany's men 1-0 thanks to Bruno Fernandes' volley. With the centre of the pitch a problem area for United this season and injuries mounting, now would be the perfect time for the 20-year-old to show Erik ten Hag what he can do.

Reflecting on his performance at Turf Moor, Hannibal took to Instagram to write: "The team, the squad, the staff and the fans all fighting together for the three points," accompanied by a [love heart emoji. The post attracted plenty of replies in the comments section including one from Lingard.
The free agent responded: "Balllinggg," with three flame emojis as the ex-Forest man sent his best wishes to the youngster. Lingard is currently without a club since leaving Forest and was recently training with West Ham United.
However, last week Steven Gerrard's Al -Ettifaq announced the Englishman was training with them. Over the weekend, Lingard posted a picture of his view from the stands as the Saudi club beat Jeddah 4-0 in the King Cup of Champions round of 32.
As for Hannibal, MEN Sport understands the Reds are set to enter negotiations over a new long-term contract for the midfielder.
