Jamie Carragher fires back at Rio Ferdinand Liverpool post after Manchester United win

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has fired back at Rio Ferdinand after Manchester United secured a place in the semi-finals of the FA Cup.

United booked a place in the FA Cup semi-finals against Liverpool in dramatic fashion as Amad Diallo netted the winning goal in the 120th minute. Diallo was then sent off for receiving a second yellow card for taking his shirt off during his celebrations.

Liverpool, who were still clinging to the dream of winning the quadruple for departing manager Jurgen Klopp, saw their hopes diminish when Marcus Rashford put matters level in the 112th minute. As the match looked set to go to a penalty shootout, Diallo proved to be the unsung hero for Erik ten Hag's side.

United have since discovered their fate and will take on Championship opposition Coventry City at Wembley next month. Manchester City, meanwhile, will face Chelsea and Carragher believes Pep Guardiola's side will win silverware by 'comfortably' defeating the Red Devils in the final.

Responding to Ferdinand's tweet that read 'Wembley!', Carragher wrote: "Relax [two laughing emojis]. Man City will beat you comfortably in the final & ETH will still be in charge next season. It's not the win you think it is!"
