Tyson Fury provides Oleksandr Usyk fight update ahead of unification bout

Tyson Fury has insisted that he is 'very fit' ahead of his unification world title fight with Oleksandr Usyk in May.

In February, the Wythenshawe-born boxer and the Ukrainian fighter were set to meet in the ring. However, the highly-anticipated bout was postponed after Fury picked up a freak cut during his training camp.

The fight has since been rescheduled for Saturday, May 18 at the Kingdom Arena in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The winner shall be the first fighter to be the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world since 1999 when Lennox Lewis united the division.

Ahead of the bout, Fury chose to attend the FA Cup quarter-final clash at Old Trafford as his beloved Manchester United faced Liverpool for a spot in the last four. Before kick-off, the 35-year-old was asked by ITV Sport for his condition with just two months remaining until fight night.

Former British boxer Tony Bellew told talkSPORT: "I don’t think anybody beats Oleksandr Usyk. I don’t think anybody beats him.

"I said it many many moons ago. I think now [Fury] has a puncher’s chance, but he isn’t a big puncher, to be honest.

"The craziest part about it is, I think when Fury was with his uncle, I do think he beats him but his style has changed, and now, he’s an aggressive counter-puncher and that
