Marcus Rashford opens up on one regret after Manchester United beat Liverpool

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has admitted his only regret is that he did not score earlier as Erik ten Hag's men beat Liverpool 4-3 in a thrilling encounter on Sunday.

A breathless game saw United 2-1 down after the first half with Alexis Mac Allister and Mohamed Salah cancelling out Scott McTominay's early opener. However, the matchwinner came from an unlikely source as Ivorian forward Amad held off the challenge of Conor Bradley to fire home into the opposite corner and secure a semi-final clash with Coventry City at Wembley Stadium. Immediately after full-time, Rashford reflected on an important win for his team.

"Yeah, 100 per cent [I had to score]," he told ITV Sport. "I wish it had come half an hour ago but we got the job done in the end so we are onto the next round now and we have to keep pushing and try to get something out of the season.
