Jadon Sancho appears to send England snub after Manchester United star's omission

Manchester United star Jadon Sancho has made his feelings clear after being omitted from England's 28-man squad for the UEFA Nations League by Gareth Southgate.

The Three Lions played out a thrilling 3-3 draw against Germany at Wembley last night (Monday) that saw all six goals scored in the final 40 minutes of the match. United's full-back Luke Shaw started the comeback for England with a goal in the 71st minute, after Southgate's side found themselves 2-0 down following an Ilkay Gundogan penalty and superb curling effort from Chelsea's Kai Havertz.

It was a bad night for United's captain, as Harry Maguire not only gave the ball away in the build-up to the penalty, but also went on to bring down Germany's Jamal Musiala to concede the penalty, as questions over the central defender's place in Southgate's side continued to be asked.

The Three Lions appeared to have sealed all three points after two quick-fire goals from Mason Mount and Harry Kane put the hosts 3-2 up at Wembley with just five minutes to play, only for a Nick Pope error to gift Havertz his second goal of the night, as the game finished 3-3.

Sancho's omission from the England squad caused a stir among United fans, due to the former Borussia Dortmund man putting in some fine performances under Erik ten Hag, scoring goals against both Liverpool and Leicester in the Premier League this season.

The 22-year-old's last appearance for England came in October last year, where the winger provided two assists in a 5-0 win over Andorra during a World Cup qualifier.
