How to get tickets to Eurovision, how much they cost and when they might go on sale

With the UK set to host next year's Eurovision song contest, many Brits will be rushing to get their hands on some of tickets.

Seven of Britain's biggest cities have been competing to host the 67th contest - Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle, and Sheffield. And today, that list is expected to be slimmed down even further.

Speaking on BBC Breakfast on Tuesday morning, presenter Sally Nugent teased an upcoming update from the BBC. She told viewers: "Later on today we are expecting an update from the BBC” - but she did not provide any further information on what might be announced.

It's expected that people who want to see the competition live will be able to purchase tickets for a total of nine shows. In previous years, there has been a Jury Show, a Family Show, and a Live TV Show for each stage of the finals.

By the end of today, we should be even closer to knowing which of Britain's cities will be granted the honour of hosting the Eurovision song contest. Once we know which city and venue will host the shows, we should know even more about ticket prices, availability, and ticket providers.

While the actual contest is still a while away, it's always a good idea to try and grab some tickets ASAP as they usually sell out very quickly. Here's everything we know so far about Eurovision tickets.

Not many details surrounding next year's events have yet been released. The date for when ticket sales go live is unlikely to be revealed until the host city has been announced.

However, we can still speculate around what period of 2023 the tickets will go on sale, giving fans time to prepare and reserve their seats at the song contest.
