Jack Grealish returns to Man City training

Jack Grealish was spotted in Manchester City training on Wednesday after Pep Guardiola recently suggested he would be out for 'one week to 10 days'.

The 28-year-old has been absent for City's last three matches, having picked up a knock in the 2-1 win at Sheffield United almost a month ago. He was forced to pull out of international duty for England along with John Stones.

Speaking after Tuesday evening's 3-1 Champions League group stage win over Crvena Zvezda, Guardiola suggested that it could be a short while before Grealish returns. "Jack, maybe one week to 10 days will be there but after needs to make the conditions," he said.

But in a series of pictures posted on the club's official Twitter account on Wednesday afternoon, the Blues winger looks to be fully involved in a first-team session. From what is published, it looks as though those involved in Tuesday's game spent their day in the gym, with Grealish among the group on the pitch.

He is alongside Kalvin Phillips, while Rico Lewis and Manuel Akanji can also be seen. The likes of Erling Haaland, Julian Alvarez and Ruben Dias are all pictured in the gym undertaking a recovery session.

Grealish's return will provide a much-needed boost to Guardiola, who on Tuesday saw Bernardo Silva added to a long list of absentees. The Portuguese midfielder was forced off before half-time at the Etihad, with no obvious signs of injury as he was replaced by Jeremy Doku.

"I didn't speak with doctors but he's out for the next games," Guardiola said of Bernardo.
