Bernardo returns as Grealish decision made - Man City fans pick their team to face RB Leipzig

Manchester City will hope to get back to winning ways when they travel to RB Leipzig in the Champions League this evening and supporters have called for the return of Bernardo Silva.

City go into this evening's Champions League group stage clash off the back of consecutive defeats for the first time since January, having followed last week's Carabao Cup exit at Newcastle with Saturday's 2-1 loss at Wolves. In Leipzig, they face a side unbeaten in their last seven across all competitions.

Pep Guardiola welcomed Bernardo back into the squad for training this week, with the Portuguese midfielder available for the first time since City's last Champions League game against Red Star Belgrade last month. And supporters have called for his instant return to the starting line-up this evening.

Bernardo is one of two changes in central midfield alongside Rodri, who is eligible to play in Europe while serving a three-game domestic suspension. Guardiola confirmed in his press conference on Tuesday that the Spaniard will start before taking some time off and then linking up with his compatriots for international duty.

Ahead of them, Julian Alvarez has been backed to start again after scoring an excellent free-kick against Wolves on Saturday. The Argentine is flying in the role behind Erling Haaland, with five goals and three assists in 11 appearances across all competitions.
