Iconic Rangers striker Mark Hateley has named Ivan Toney as his dream transfer as he teased the £50m-rated striker is exactly what Philippe Clement needs – even though he is poised for a mega millions Brentford exit.

The former England international, fully aware of Toney's status with Man Utd, Chelsea and Al-Ahli circling, but he believes the man previously linked with Ibrox is a player of stature. Hateley wants Clement to be active and reckons there are three areas of concern for the Belgian who prepared fans for a challenging summer despite signing nine players.

Speaking to Online Slots Real Money, he said: "I think Rangers need a centre-half, an attacking midfielder and a striker. He added: “Todd Cantwell has had a difficult period, and I don’t think he’s made it easy for himself. If you’re not buying into what Philippe Clement is trying to do, then he knows where the door is.
